On My Way Home

Today has mainly been about getting ready to go home. I’ve managed to get everything in my roll bag, so didn’t have to buy another suitcase. I spent most of the morning catching up with my blog and chatting with friends and family in the UK, both by ‘phone and via Facebook. The shuttle I’d booked arrived on time and I was soon at the airport.

I’m currently writing this at the boarding gate whilst waiting for my flight to be called. I’ve spent an hour and a half in the bar having a couple of drinks and a pizza for lunch. Once again the Brit accent worked and I spent most of the time chatting with Jacqueline, a businesswoman from San Francisco on her way to her family’s Paris holiday flat for a couple of weeks holiday.

All to soon I’ll be back in the UK!

  1. Chris; after reading you posts on Rt 66 had to stop back by and read about your trip up the coast. You hit a few of my favorites including Half Moon Bay. It is always fun to explore San Francisco. No telling what you will see. Nothing like it anywhere else! Enjoyed your posts about your travels and adventures. Well done!

  2. Chris, your blog has been of great interest and I shall be using it as a reference point when my hubby and I do our Route 66 trip next year (in a car)!

Hope you arrived home safely. All the best.

Thank you, I got home safely :)

I hope that you have a great trip, though fail to see how it could be otherwise on Route 66! I’m glad that you’ve found the blog interesting and informative, hearing things like that make me feel that writing it has been worthwhile.

If you ahve specific questions I’ll do my best to answer them.

      Chris

  3. Hi Chris
Been reading your blog and want to thank you for taking your time to update your daily diary with photos. I am planning a trip in May 2013 together with a few friends, unfortunately it will have to be by car as we have no experience of biking and would never make it in one piece. Just watched the Billy Connolly DVD and he even fell off a three wheeler. My original plan was to finish at LA but would love to do the leg to SF. Once again thanks for sharing your story
    Kindest regards
    Steve

    • You’re welcome Steve. I’m sure you’ll have a great trip however you travel! If you can manage the trip up to SF you’ll find it well worth it. I’m not really a city person, but I do like SF!
