Stepping up a Notch

Not too much to say today as I spent most of the day training!

The second day of training stepped up a notch and we covered stuff that was new to me. I’d done some logical volume management before, but through the graphical interface, not via the command line. Today we did both. We also had ample opportunity to practice which made it more fun than just sitting listening and watching! I started the day with a bit of a dodgy tum, so decided to back off the spicy foods a bit and went for an omelette and toast for breakfast, however when the omelette arrived it had chopped up chilli in it! I ate it never the less but skipped lunch and did the practice labs from the training books.

During the day I went to the loo and there was an open window that had let some rain in and I slipped on the wet floor. I didn’t go down, but seem to have pulled a muscle in my leg, which sis still painful. Hopefully that will stop soon.

In line with my spice avoidance scheme I opted for plain grilled fish for supper and it was a local fish (I was told the name, but it’s unpronounceable – at least by me!). It was very good. It’s a shame about the spices as I like the food here, but I was suffering unfortunate consequences of eating them. I think I’ll try a mix and match approach and gradually build up to a full spice diet!

I’m going in a bit early for the next day to do some more practical labs and then I think we’re going to cover permissions.
